A bouldering and climbing centre in Bristol is set to undergo significant refurbishment following the acquisition of £460,000 in funding. This investment, sourced from the British Bank’s South West Investment Fund, promises to revitalise the Climbing Academy’s Mothership venue on Charlton Street, with the creation of three new jobs.
Facility Enhancements
The investment will facilitate the development of a new building, designed to house a chalk-free reception, café, shop, and a new mezzanine viewing platform. Scheduled for completion by December 2024, these enhancements aim to modernise the visitor experience significantly.
Refurbishments are already in motion, aiming to transform the downstairs bouldering area with purpose-built walls and new training boards from Walltopia.
