Plaza Collection, a renowned fashion brand, is embarking on a major expansion plan with a new £7 million headquarters in Salford.
The company aims to boost its operational capacity and workforce through this strategic move.
Plaza Collection, a longstanding fashion brand established in 1982, has announced plans for a significant expansion of its operations. The company has proposed the development of a new headquarters located in Salford, Greater Manchester, with a planned investment of £7 million.
This development is set to transform the former car dealership site owned by Plaza Collection on Bury New Road. The relocation aims to cater to the brand’s growing operational demands, currently met at OM House, Cheetham Hill. This move will enable the business to expand its employment capacity by 50 percent.
The proposed project outlines the construction of modern offices, a showroom, and a large warehouse. These facilities are designed to enhance the company’s capacity to cater efficiently to both wholesale and online customers.
A five-storey storage unit will also be included to provide ample space for the company’s needs. Additionally, a standalone self-storage unit will be created, intended for leasing to a specialist operator, thereby opening a new revenue stream.
Plaza Collection’s current premises are no longer sufficient to handle their growth, prompting the search for a new location over five years.
The decision to relocate is thus strategic, aiming to position the company for long-term success while also providing an opportunity to modernise its infrastructural capabilities.
The company currently employs approximately 40 individuals, with the new site expected to generate an additional 50 jobs.
This increase in workforce aligns with Plaza Collection’s strategic growth plans, reflecting its commitment to investing in local talent and contributing to the regional economy.
The expansion plans are presently undergoing review by the Salford City Council. A final decision on the planning application is anticipated by the end of the year.
The outcome of these deliberations will be crucial for Plaza Collection, as it will determine the timeline and feasibility of the proposed headquarters.
Anticipation is high for the council’s decision, given the project’s potential impact on job creation and economic development in the area.
Plaza Collection is poised for a transformative phase with its planned Salford headquarters, reflecting a strategic commitment to expansion and innovation.
The proposed development promises substantial benefits not only for the company but also for the local community through job creation and economic stimulation.
The planned headquarters in Salford represents a significant growth opportunity for Plaza Collection, promising a positive impact on the local economy.
With a substantial investment and a focus on innovation, the expansion is set to enhance Plaza Collection’s market presence and operational efficiency.
