AllSaints has successfully launched its first standalone retail outlet in Egypt, situated in the expansive Mall of Arabia in Cairo. This establishment, covering 2,368 square feet, represents the brand’s inaugural venture into the African continent. The store offers a wide variety of AllSaints’ iconic clothing, footwear, handbags, and accessories, catering to both male and female clientele.
This Cairo store embodies AllSaints’ latest design concept which has been warmly received globally since its introduction in Los Angeles. According to the retailer, the concept features a brighter overall design scheme while preserving AllSaints’ signature industrial aesthetic, thus marrying modernity with brand heritage.
The opening in Egypt is part of AllSaints’ ongoing international expansion efforts, which include new stores in major cities such as Shanghai, Taiwan, Seoul, Los Angeles, New York City, Mexico City, and Spain. In the UK, recent openings include London Bridge, Trafford Centre, and two outlets in Glasgow, increasing the brand’s directly operated stores to around 300 worldwide.
AllSaints’ CEO, Peter Wood, noted the pre-existing robust demand for the brand within Egypt’s premium department stores. “We already know there is strong demand for AllSaints in Egypt, having been present in some of the country’s most premium department stores since March,” he stated. Wood expressed confidence that the standalone store will solidify AllSaints’ market position both in Egypt and the wider region.
The retailer’s financial performance this year has been impressive, with a report of a 40% increase in operating profit to £39.9 million and an 18% rise in EBITDA. This success is attributed to reduced promotional activities and a shift in sales mix, highlighting growth in wholesale and licensing channels.
AllSaints’ strategic expansion into Egypt underscores its commitment to growing its global presence while adapting to diverse market demands.
