AllSaints, known for its distinctive blend of style and industrial design, has opened its first standalone store in Africa, located in Cairo’s Mall of Arabia. This significant move highlights the brand’s ongoing ambition to enhance its international footprint. The store spans 2,368 square feet and was inaugurated on 2 September, bringing AllSaints’ unique aesthetic directly to Egyptian consumers.
Prior to this opening, AllSaints’ products were sold through premium Egyptian department stores Dstore and Ofive from March 2024, indicating a strong local demand for the brand. According to CEO Peter Wood, the standalone store is expected to bolster AllSaints’ presence in Egypt and the broader region, providing customers with direct access to a wide variety of its clothing, footwear, and accessories for both men and women.
The Cairo store adopts AllSaints’ new retail design concept, featuring a lighter and contemporary interior while retaining its core industrial DNA. This concept, first seen in Los Angeles, reflects the brand’s evolution while maintaining its signature look. This approach signifies AllSaints’ commitment to providing a consistent yet refreshed shopping experience in new and existing markets.
Cairo’s opening is among many international expansions for AllSaints over the past year, with new locations launched in Shanghai, Taiwan, South Korea, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico, and Spain. Within the UK, AllSaints added new outlets in London, Manchester, and Glasgow. This rapid growth underscores its strategic focus on expanding into key regions.
Financially, AllSaints reported a 40% rise in operating profit to £39.9m and a marginal revenue increase to £459.5m for the year ending 3 February 2024. This financial prosperity supports the brand’s aggressive international expansion strategy, as articulated by CEO Peter Wood, who expressed confidence in further growth, particularly across Europe and Asia.
AllSaints’ opening in Egypt marks a pivotal step in the brand’s strategic international expansion, further solidifying its market presence globally.
