Alo Yoga, a prominent name in the athleisure sector, is setting its sights on a significant expansion into the UK market with a potential new store on London’s Regent Street. This move marks a strategic step in the brand’s growth trajectory.
The company is currently negotiating to acquire the retail space at 150 Regent Street, a location currently under the tenure of Abercrombie & Fitch since its opening in September 2021. The lease held by Abercrombie & Fitch is known to be flexible, which could facilitate Alo Yoga’s entry into this prestigious shopping destination.
Founded in 2007 by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge, Alo Yoga has expanded its initial focus from yoga apparel to a broader range of products, including joggers, dresses, trainers, and accessories. This diversification is evident in its availability through high-end UK stockists such as Selfridges, Harrods, Marks & Spencer, and Net-a-Porter.
In alignment with its expansion strategy, Alo Yoga is also preparing to unveil its first UK flagship store on King’s Road in a 4,000 sq ft retail space, scheduled for opening later this year. This development signals the brand’s commitment to strengthening its physical retail presence in the UK market.
Alo Yoga’s expansion into Regent Street underscores its strategic focus on growing its international footprint.
