The collaboration between Amazon and Morrisons has taken a significant step forward by introducing a loyalty points scheme to enhance the grocery shopping experience for customers. This development allows shoppers purchasing Morrisons products through Amazon to earn loyalty points that can be redeemed as Morrisons More Card Fivers, usable both online and in-store.
As part of this initiative, a new ‘grocery day’ option has been implemented, enabling customers to schedule a weekly delivery slot complete with a pre-filled basket of selected groceries. Additionally, shoppers can now reserve a delivery slot up to 60 minutes in advance, providing greater flexibility and convenience.
The service is now accessible to millions across the UK, offering a broad selection of products from the supermarket, including new listings from Morrisons Market Street. This expansion opens doors for non-Prime customers to shop for groceries on Amazon, while Prime members benefit additionally from free same- or next-day delivery within a two-hour window, contingent on meeting a minimum spending requirement.
Further enhancing the launch, customers can earn five points on every eligible Morrisons product. Moreover, those who register their loyalty accounts and spend £70 in a single order within the first two weeks are rewarded with an additional 500 points, incentivising initial engagement with the programme.
The partnership’s progression was highlighted by Russell Jones, Amazon’s Director of Grocery Partnerships Worldwide, who stated, “We are committed to investing in ways for customers to get the best value for their weekly shop, and the integration of More Points to Morrisons on Amazon is a great new way for customers to be rewarded while getting their same-day grocery deliveries.” Charlotte Exell, Morrisons Online Director, expressed enthusiasm for this development, noting the significant enhancement in customer benefits.
The strengthened partnership between Amazon and Morrisons marks a pivotal advancement in creating a streamlined, rewarding grocery shopping experience for UK consumers.
