Amazon reported a record-breaking Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday, noting the period from 21 November to 2 December as the most successful to date. This seasonal sale event saw substantial offers, leading to unprecedented sales figures and a remarkable number of items sold. Both Black Friday and Cyber Monday set new benchmarks for Amazon’s performance compared to the same period in previous years.
UK consumers were particularly active in purchasing Alexa-enabled devices, with products such as the Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick 4K among the top sellers. Additionally, the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, Pukka Herbs Advent Calendar, and Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush topped the sales charts during the event.
The event was especially beneficial for independent sellers, who contributed more than 60% of the total sales on the platform during Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday. This highlights the growing influence and success of third-party sellers in Amazon’s ecosystem.
Amazon also highlighted the success of its resale offers, where UK customers engaged in purchasing quality used, refurbished, or open-box products. Popular items in this category included the Russell Hobbs Steam and Clean, Fisher-Price Butterfly Dreams 3-In-1 Projection Mobile, and Xbox Series S.
