Asda has inaugurated its Tickled Pink campaign, a substantial move in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. By offering more than 200 products, the retailer aims to donate a portion of the sales to prominent breast cancer charities. The campaign features items such as Diet Coke, Heinz Baked Beans, and Marmite, all adopting pink packaging to signify their participation.
Furthermore, some of these products provide essential information about breast awareness, emphasizing the need for regular checks of breasts, pecs, and chests. This educational aspect is integrated into the packaging to aid in spreading awareness and potentially saving lives by early detection.
Customers engaging with the campaign through Asda’s Reward programme benefit financially. For the second consecutive year, those purchasing four or more Tickled Pink products receive £1 back, fostering increased participation and support from the community.
Additionally, the initiative extends to over 205 Asda Cafés, where patrons are offered a pair of free Warburtons crumpets with a minimum spend, alongside a commitment of £150,000 towards the campaign.
Having run successfully for 28 years, the Tickled Pink initiative has accumulated a remarkable £92 million for breast cancer charities such as Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!. Asda’s chief merchandising officer, Kris Comerford, commended the supplier support and anticipated a successful year with availability both in-stores and online.
Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign continues to make impactful contributions towards breast cancer awareness and support.
