Authentic Brands Group, with over 50 internationally acclaimed brands like Ted Baker, Hunter, Reebok, and Forever 21, has strategically expanded its footprint in Europe by inaugurating a 25,000 square foot headquarters in London. The office is located at 5 Marble Arch and began operations in February, hosting approximately 70 employees who manage the group’s European activities.
The headquarters not only serves as a central point for business operations but also features advanced product showrooms and ample office space. Jarrod Weber, the global president of sports and lifestyle at Authentic, remarked, “As Authentic continues to establish its presence globally, we are pleased to open our new corporate office at 5 Marble Arch, which serves as the headquarters for our European division. Being on-site for this rollout was great, and our doors have been and will continue to be open for business.”
In a noteworthy strategic move, Authentic announced on 5 June its agreement to acquire the intellectual property and certain operating assets of the sportswear brand Champion. The transaction is valued at $1.2 billion (£940 million), demonstrating Authentic’s commitment to expanding its influence in the sportswear sector.
Authentic’s expansion strategy also involves reviving Ted Baker’s retail and e-commerce operations in the UK and Europe. This follows Ted Baker’s collapse into administration in March. The search for a new operating partner for this venture remains a priority, illustrating Authentic’s dedication to maintaining and enhancing brand presence within these key markets.
