Club L London has announced the promotion of Richard Wing to the position of chief financial officer. Wing’s new role will see him spearheading the financial strategy of the company as it embarks on the next phase of its global expansion.
Richard Wing joined Club L London in July 2022 as group finance director. His previous experience includes roles as group finance director at THG Ingenuity from 2020 to 2022 and as group finance controller at both Ladbible from 2017 to 2020 and Missguided from 2015 to 2017. This wealth of experience positions Wing well for his new responsibilities, succeeding Karl Lloyd who previously held the CFO position.
In this elevated role, Wing will report directly to the company’s founder and chief executive officer, Katie Randev. The appointment aligns with Club L London’s ambitions to cement its status within the affordable luxury fashion sector, especially as it seeks to broaden its international reach. The company has announced plans to introduce additional dedicated websites in new markets before the year concludes, following a successful market entry with a Canadian website earlier in the year.
Recently, Club L London received recognition for its remarkable growth trajectory. The brand was ranked as the 54th fastest-growing private company in the United Kingdom by The Sunday Times, bolstered by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 96.87% over three years. Within its latest financial year, the company reported sales amounting to £38.6 million.
Emphasising his vision for the future, Richard Wing remarked, “My mission at Club L London is to drive sustainable and profitable growth. I am driven by innovation and excited about our upcoming initiatives, which will not only drive our growth but also solidify Club L London’s position as the leading affordable luxury fashion house.”
Richard Wing’s appointment as CFO marks a significant step for Club L London in its pursuit of international expansion and financial growth.
