Coggles, a luxury platform recently acquired by Frasers Group in June, is set to remain an online-only operation. This decision follows Frasers Group’s strategy to refocus the Coggles brand within the digital retail space, capitalising on its strong e-commerce presence.
The former Coggles standalone store in Alderley Edge, originally opened in 2017 within a refurbished NatWest bank building, has now been rebranded and reopened as a Flannels boutique. This change is part of Frasers Group’s broader strategy to enhance its luxury retail offerings under the Flannels fascia, which is steadily becoming a prominent name in luxury retail.
Frasers Group’s broader ambition is to extend luxury retail to every corner of the UK, leveraging the Flannels brand. This move aligns with their strategic expansion plan, aiming to offer luxury goods to a wider audience while maintaining an exclusive shopping experience.
Coggles will continue its digital operations with a dedicated team based in Manchester. David Epstein, managing director of premium and luxury at Frasers, confirmed this direction, highlighting that the team will operate independently to focus solely on the digital growth of Coggles.
The acquisition by Frasers Group from THG is part of a strategic multi-year partnership. This collaboration involves the integration of Frasers Plus credit offerings into the online platform, enhancing the online shopping experience and providing additional benefits to consumers.
The strategic decisions by Frasers Group underscore its commitment to innovation in luxury retail.
