Under Armour has named Franck Denglos, a seasoned professional in the sportswear industry, as Vice President of Commercial for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Denglos officially joined the company on 1 September, bringing with him an impressive track record that spans more than 25 years in the sector. This strategic hire highlights Under Armour’s ambition to strengthen its market presence across these key regions.
Before joining Under Armour, Denglos built his career at Adidas, where he served in various important capacities, ultimately becoming the CEO of Adidas Italy in 2018. His career at Adidas began in 1994 as a business unit manager overseeing categories such as tennis, skate, and basketball, and later expanded to include Adidas Originals, training, and kids’ categories. By 1998, Denglos had advanced to lead product marketing for Adidas EMEA, a role that laid the foundation for his subsequent positions in marketing and wholesale as Vice President within the company.
In his new role at Under Armour, Denglos will be responsible for overseeing all sales channels, which include wholesale, distributors, ecommerce, and retail operations from Under Armour’s office based in Amsterdam. His move signifies a major step for Under Armour as it seeks to enhance its strategic initiatives and competitive stance in the rapidly evolving sportswear market.
