Frasers Group has acquired the Holdsport Group, a prominent South African retailer, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy. This acquisition includes 88 physical stores across South Africa and Namibia, as well as a strong ecommerce platform. Holdsport is known for its popular brands such as Sportsmans Warehouse, Outdoor Warehouse, and the premium streetwear brand Shelflife. This diverse portfolio allows Frasers Group to diversify its offerings, appealing to a broader consumer base. The acquisition also includes significant infrastructural assets, namely Holdsport’s warehouses and a factory that supports manufacturing and distribution activities.
