The Danish fashion brand Ganni has recently appointed Sheena Sauvaire as its interim chief brand officer. This move comes as Priya Matadeen, the current chief brand officer, has taken maternity leave. Sauvaire brings a wealth of experience to this interim position, having held prominent roles in the fashion industry.
Sauvaire’s professional background is impressive, with previous roles including chief merchandising officer at luxury fashion retailers Yoox Net-A-Porter from 2020 to 2022 and Belstaff from 2019 to 2020. Her extensive experience at these renowned companies is expected to benefit Ganni during her tenure.
In addition to her roles at Yoox Net-A-Porter and Belstaff, Sauvaire spent 12 years at Topshop. Initially, she served as the global head of marketing from 2006 to 2013, before being promoted to global marketing and communications director, a position she held from 2013 to 2018. Her long-standing experience in the fashion industry underscores her capability to manage the branding needs of a leading fashion brand like Ganni.
The transition at Ganni comes as Priya Matadeen, who joined the brand in January 2023, commenced her maternity leave. Matadeen has been instrumental in shaping Ganni’s brand strategy, having joined from Dazed Media where she was the managing director. Her extensive background includes working with high-profile brands such as Gucci, Versace, Chanel, and Nike during her career at various media outlets and advertising agencies.
The strategic appointment of Sheena Sauvaire underscores Ganni’s commitment to maintaining robust brand leadership.
