In a strategic move to enhance its global platform, the Danish fashion brand Ganni opted to close its UK head office in Islington, London. This decision is part of the company’s broader strategy to focus its efforts on Paris and Copenhagen, especially with the appointment of their new CEO, Laura du Rusquec, based in Paris.
The final operational day at the London office, which housed 19 employees, was understood to be Friday, 26 July. Of these, 10 employees are expected to stay with the company in various capacities, likely involving relocations to either Paris or Copenhagen offices.
The move towards consolidating its European presence is reflected in the decision to close the London office. This is aligned with Ganni’s emphasis on leveraging Paris as a global hub, with an aim to strengthen its international foothold under the new leadership.
Despite the closure, Ganni will continue its operations across the UK. The brand remains accessible through its four London stores, an outlet in Bicester Village, and a network of stockists, including prestigious names such as Harvey Nichols, Harrods, and Selfridges, alongside numerous independent retailers.
The strategic restructuring by Ganni highlights its commitment to consolidating operations while maintaining a robust presence in the UK.
