Graduate Fashion Week (GFW), hosted at The Truman Brewery in east London from 10-13 June, culminated in a ceremony yesterday where top honours were awarded to standout designs. Organised by the Graduate Fashion Foundation, this event serves as a launchpad for emerging talent in the fashion industry.
Alice Daggett, a promising designer from Winchester School of Art, was awarded the prestigious GFW24 Gold Catwalk Award. Her collection, which drew inspiration from her childhood experiences in Yorkshire, captivated the judges with its originality and depth of storytelling.
The GFW Silver Catwalk Award was presented to Patrik Platko of Coventry University. His designs focused on the utilitarian aspect of worker uniforms, showcasing a unique interpretation that blends functionality with aesthetics, a theme that resonated well with the audience and judges alike.
