Base Childrenswear, originally part of a £47.5 million purchase by Frasers Group in 2022, faced closure and rebranding challenges earlier this year. The Granditers saw this as a chance for a fresh start, positioning Casa Childrenswear to fill gaps left by specialist retailers like Base and others.
Casa Childrenswear distinguishes itself by offering a range of both luxury and more accessible premium brands. Classic names such as Moncler and Burberry are part of their offering alongside brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. The new store also incorporates Spanish brands and premium toys like Jellycat, providing a comprehensive children’s retail experience.
Bluewater was strategically selected for the new store, leveraging its reputation as a prime retail destination in the UK.
