Greggs, a popular bakery chain, has teamed up with the renowned chef and cookbook author Nigella Lawson to create its first-ever Christmas advertisement. Nigella, a long-time admirer of Greggs, is featured at home near a Christmas tree adorned with Greggs-themed baubles.
In the advert, she eloquently describes the ‘rapturous riot of flavour’ found in the bakery chain’s festive bake. With an emphasis on its ‘succulent filling, creamy sauce, all wrapped up in the flakiest of flaky pastries,’ Nigella presents an enticing image of the product.
Nigella Lawson expressed her excitement about this collaboration, stating: ‘As a longtime fan of Greggs, and especially their sausage rolls, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them to celebrate the return of the iconic Christmas menu.’
Contrary to some reports, Greggs clarified that any claims of discord between the brand and Nigella regarding an endorsement of their sausage rolls were inaccurate. Greggs emphasized that Nigella’s role was solely to promote the Christmas menu.
This creative campaign is part of a series of festive advertisements released by retailers, including Aldi’s promotion featuring Kevin the Carrot and Morrisons’ campaign with singing oven gloves.
The collaboration between Greggs and Nigella Lawson introduces a festive spirit with their first Christmas advert, adding flavour to the holiday season.
