- An omnichannel strategy is integral to Gymshark’s growth, with plans for seven stores by summer 2025.
Gymshark plans to enhance its retail footprint by opening three new permanent stores and a retail outlet pop-up within the next twelve months. This move marks a significant extension of their physical presence into mainland Europe, with a new store opening in Amsterdam and additional locations in the United Kingdom.
In London, Gymshark is preparing to launch a 9,000 square foot store at Westfield White City, following its recent opening at Westfield Stratford City. This new site is set to open in early 2025. Meanwhile, Amsterdam is expected to welcome a Gymshark store in spring 2025, offering a 10,000 square foot space to replicate the successful experience provided at existing locations. Amsterdam holds strategic importance as one of Gymshark’s largest markets.
The forthcoming Trafford Centre store in Manchester, scheduled for next summer, marks Gymshark’s debut standalone store in the north. Positioned in a prominent shopping destination, this 7,500 square foot store aims to attract considerable footfall and will feature exclusive product ranges specific to this location.
In addition to these permanent installations, Gymshark is set to launch its first retail outlet pop-up in Bicester Village as early as next month. This temporary store is an opportunity to explore the ‘off-price shopping experience,’ with operations running from October to January 2025.
Hannah Mercer, General Manager of Wholesale and Retail at Gymshark, emphasised the strategic importance of these developments. She underscores the company’s commitment to an omnichannel strategy and marks this expansion as a substantial advancement in their retail endeavours. By mid-2025, Gymshark anticipates operating seven stores, advocating their identity as a community-centric gym brand.
Gymshark’s strategic expansion into prestigious shopping locations highlights the brand’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive in-store experience across Europe.
