Gymshark is setting the stage for a major expansion in its physical retail footprint by announcing the opening of four new stores over the next 12 months. This expansion marks a significant step in the brand’s dedication to creating an omnichannel strategy.
Next month, a pop-up store at Bicester Village will be unveiled, remaining operational until January. This temporary setup follows the pattern of engaging customers directly and gaining insights into varied consumer behaviours.
In early 2025, Gymshark plans to open its third London-based permanent store at Westfield White City. This follows previous successful launches at Stratford City and Regent Street, enhancing the brand’s presence in prominent London shopping destinations.
Continuing its expansion into mainland Europe, Gymshark will open its first store in Amsterdam in the spring. Located on Kalverstraat, a prime shopping street, the 10,000 sq ft store will mirror the design and offering of the Westfield White City location.
By next summer, Manchester will see a new Gymshark outlet at the Trafford Centre. Following the brand’s earlier wholesale launch at Selfridges in March, this 7,500 sq ft location will not only offer Gymshark’s core range but will also include exclusive products.
Hannah Mercer, Gymshark’s general manager of wholesale and retail, underscored the strategic importance of these locations, noting, “We’ve said for a while now that we are fully committed to an omnichannel strategy, and today’s announcement is a real ‘ramping up’ moment on this pledge.” Mercer highlighted the significance of these sites, pointing to their high footfall and established reputations as health and fitness hubs.
These strategic openings reinforce Gymshark’s commitment to broadening its retail presence and engaging with its community across key markets.
