Max Nutz has relinquished his position as the Managing Director of Inditex UK and Ireland, concluding an extensive and impactful 25-year tenure with the company. Joining Inditex in 1999, Nutz rose through various senior international roles, culminating in his leadership of the UK and Ireland sectors since 2018.
Assuming the role is Pilar Losada, previously responsible for Inditex operations in Australia and New Zealand. Losada’s journey with Inditex began in 2010, showcasing her adaptability and leadership through positions such as the Managing Director of Central China before transitioning to her recent role in Australia.
This leadership transition aligns with Inditex’s announcement of a significant 10% rise in half-yearly profits, attributed to growth across its multiple brands, including Stradivarius, Bershka, and Massimo Dutti. The overall sales climbed to £15.3bn (€18.1bn), reinforcing the company’s robust market performance.
Zara, the flagship brand of Inditex and a major contributor to the company’s financial success, experienced a 5.4% year-on-year increase in sales, amounting to £11m (€13m). This growth is a testament to the brand’s continuous appeal and the strategic management within Inditex.
The transition in leadership marks a new chapter for Inditex UK as it continues to build on its substantial market success.
