In an effort to enhance the customer experience, the partnership plans to offer training through both their physical shops and the dedicated School of Service. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to quality service, especially during the bustling festive season.
The recruitment includes more than 2,800 seasonal roles across 329 Waitrose stores. Positions include supermarket assistants, night shift workers, and customer delivery drivers. Similarly, their 34 John Lewis stores will see the addition of over 2,900 temporary roles focusing on sales and merchandising.
Additionally, the company is recruiting 2,700 seasonal roles in its supply chain through partnered recruitment agencies. These roles will support the increased demand for warehouse operations and deliveries, including Click and Collect services for both Waitrose and John Lewis.
Beyond the seasonal jobs, a further 1,700 positions will become available throughout the year in various capacities across both brands.
