Emma Dinnis, who took on the role of managing director at Sofology in January 2022, is stepping down at the end of this month. Her departure coincides with the exit of Adam Smith, Sofology’s director of customer operations, and Jan Duckworth, the brand director. These changes are indicative of a broader plan to integrate leadership roles across the DFS group.
The restructuring will see Nick Smith, DFS’s current chief executive, taking on the newly formulated role of group chief customer and commercial officer. This role will extend his oversight to include Sofology while maintaining his existing duties, enabling a unified leadership approach.
Supporting Nick Smith in this transition are several key appointments: Arron Burton will become group commercial director, James Brewer will be the group marketing director, and Graham Mould is appointed as group customer operations director. Together, they aim to reinforce an experienced leadership team across human resources, IT, finance, and distribution.
