The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the schedule for London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025, set to occur earlier to avoid conflicts with other major fashion events.
- The event will run from 12 to 17 September, ensuring no overlap with the Milan Fashion Week which starts on 17 September at 3pm.
- This adjustment facilitates optimal exposure for designers to a global audience heavily involved in the fashion industry.
- Key international fashion councils collaborated to agree on these dates, including organisations from Italy, France, and the USA.
- The upcoming seasons, including London Fashion Week Men’s, have also been scheduled, providing a comprehensive outlook for the fashion industry’s calendar.
The British Fashion Council has unveiled the dates for London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025, scheduled to take place between 12 and 17 September. This shift allows the showcase to precede Milan Fashion Week, which commences on 17 September at 3pm. This strategic scheduling aims to provide participating designers with maximum exposure to the global trade audience travelling between major fashion capitals.
In a historic move, the BFC reached a unanimous agreement on the SS25 fashion calendar in collaboration with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. This coordinated effort underscores a commitment to harmonious global fashion scheduling, benefiting designers and industry professionals worldwide.
The confirmed dates for other fashion capitals reflect a well-structured sequence: New York City will host its event from 6 to 11 September, followed by London. Milan will then see its shows from 17 to 23 September, and Paris will conclude the spring/summer season between 23 September and 1 October.
Attention to future dates was also announced, with London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025 set for 20-24 February, preceding Milan and Paris events scheduled for later in that month and early March. London Fashion Week Men’s will occur from 12-15 June 2025, celebrating this segment’s unique offerings.
This year’s London Fashion Week marked the 40th anniversary of the event with innovative public-facing panels and notable celebrity appearances, a format expected to evolve in future editions. The public engagement aims to broaden the reach and impact of these high-profile fashion spectacles.
The cooperative scheduling of fashion weeks exemplifies the industry’s dedication to streamlined international coordination.
