Buenos Aires-born Adrian Appiolaza has been named as the new creative director of Moschino, succeeding the late Davide Renne. Renne’s sudden passing occurred only 10 days into his new position in November.
Adrian Appiolaza has garnered an impressive resume over his prolific career. Most recently, he served as the ready-to-wear designer director at Loewe for a decade. Prior to Loewe, Appiolaza gained valuable experience working under Clare Waight Keller at Chloé, Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton for two years each, and a four-year stint with Miuccia Prada at Miu Miu starting in 2006.
The 51-year-old designer has shifted his residence from Paris to Milan to concentrate on his inaugural collection for Moschino, which will be showcased during Milan Fashion Week on 22 February 2024.
