This will be executed in stages, enabling the store to remain operational throughout the process. A new foodhall is set to be completed later this year, while improvements to the clothing, home, and beauty departments are scheduled to conclude by early 2024.
This latest investment is not isolated, as it follows previous updates by M&S in the region, such as the refurbishment of its Silverlink Shopping Park store and the Gosforth foodhall.
