This Saturday, 5,000 M&S customers in the UK will receive free shopping as part of a new competition.
- The competition, named ‘Sparks Super Saturday,’ is an extension of M&S’s Sparks reward scheme.
- Shoppers simply need to scan their Sparks card in-store or log in online to participate.
- The initiative has already distributed £3.5 million worth of free shopping since 2020.
- Aldi has also launched a similar competition with chances to win £100 vouchers.
This Saturday marks a significant event for M&S customers as 5,000 shoppers in the UK will be selected to receive their shopping for free. This initiative is part of a newly launched competition called ‘Sparks Super Saturday’, expanding on the retailer’s established Sparks reward programme.
The ‘Sparks Super Saturday’ is designed to provide an enhanced opportunity for M&S’s Sparks members to potentially win free shopping. Customers can participate simply by scanning their Sparks card during in-store purchases or logging into their Sparks account while shopping online. Winners are notified immediately in store, whereas online shoppers receive notifications via email.
Since its relaunch in 2020, the Sparks scheme has proven popular with M&S’s 17 million members. To date, the programme has given away £3.5 million worth of free shopping, inclusive of individual free shops valued up to £3,500.
Kirsty Ward, Director of M&S Connect, noted the success and appeal of the Sparks rewards: ‘And one of Sparks’ members’ most loved rewards is the opportunity to get their shopping for free so, for one day only, we’re supersizing it and giving 5,000 lucky customers the opportunity to get their shopping for free – simply by shopping and scanning their Sparks card in store or online.’
In a similar vein, Aldi has introduced a separate competition where customers can win £100 vouchers. This contest is being hosted on Aldi’s Facebook page, where participants must share their bank holiday weekend plans in the comments. This offer is open until 21 August, with winners announced the following day.
These initiatives by M&S and Aldi provide exciting opportunities for customers to enjoy free shopping by simply engaging with their respective reward programmes.
