British luxury brand Mulberry has appointed Andrea Baldo as its new chief executive officer, replacing Thierry Andretta. Andrea Baldo’s extensive experience in the fashion industry, most recently as CEO and executive director of Danish fashion label Ganni, makes him a strong choice for the role. At Ganni, Baldo led significant expansions, establishing brick-and-mortar stores in the UK, US, China, Australia, and Thailand.
During his tenure at Ganni, Baldo also successfully obtained a B Corp certification for the company, a testament to his commitment to sustainability in the fashion industry. His prior experience includes leadership roles as CEO and board director at Italian leather goods brand Coccinelle and board director at luxury goods company Marni Group. Additionally, Baldo held a senior position at Diesel for ten years, including as chief operating officer for the US business.
Andrea Baldo will join the Mulberry board on 1 September 2024, assuming the CEO position as Thierry Andretta steps down immediately.
