The second iteration of the hybrid trade show Pure London x JATC took place from 14 to 16 July, coinciding with the women’s premium fashion event Scoop. Over 160 brands participated, including newcomers such as CSix, Becca & Cole, and Ppfff, hailing from regions including the UK and Barcelona. The event saw a higher turnout on Monday, partly affected by concurrent major sports finals and favourable weather on Sunday.
Vipin Bansal, representing Stryte, a newly established womenswear brand from India, reported positive interactions with buyers from the UK and Asia. He noted that Monday offered more foot traffic, resulting in promising dialogues with potential clients.
Goose Island, a long-time exhibitor, emphasized the show’s importance in maintaining relationships with existing clients and initiating new customer interactions. Francine Harris from the brand remarked on the beneficial nature of connecting with familiar and new business contacts.
Although specific visitor numbers were undisclosed by the organisers, Hyve Group, the event attracted esteemed buyers, including ASOS and prominent department stores like Jarrolds. The exhibition provided a platform for conversations, brand exploration, and industry connection.
First-time visitor Michelle Spence, from Liel Designs, appreciated the event’s diverse brand offering. With an interest in expanding her product lines, she found the show an effective venue for supplier engagement and network building.
Cheryl Daubney, representing Allez Chic, attended for exclusive brands unique to the Pure London x JATC experience. She found value in exploring her regular brands and noted the successful nature of the visit.
Tracy-Anne Fraser from Kanya remarked on the practicality of the combined shows, despite a preference for a greater emphasis on accessories. However, she acknowledged the event’s value in brand discovery and order placements.
Gloria Sandrucci, the event director, indicated that despite external challenges such as the weather and competing events, there was a notable presence of international buyers. She highlighted the show’s evolving nature, merging content with networking opportunities.
The forthcoming Pure London x JATC show is scheduled for 9-11 February 2025, with expectations for increased brand curation and accessibility.
