Rodd & Gunn has recently established three new stores in the UK, extending its presence beyond London to include Edinburgh, Bath, and Winchester. These openings are noteworthy as they represent the brand’s initial expansion into regional UK locations.
Savills, a property agency, played a crucial role in advising Rodd & Gunn during the process of opening these stores. The locations are strategically chosen to capitalise on the demand for premium menswear in these areas.
The Edinburgh store, located at George Street, spans 1,504 square feet and is the brand’s first in Scotland. This move is complemented by the opening of a larger 3,735 square foot store on New Bond Street in Bath and a 3,344 square foot outlet at The Square, Winchester.
According to Mike Beagley, CEO of Rodd & Gunn, the brand has experienced rapid growth due to its partnerships with John Lewis and the expansion of its e-commerce platform. These new stores are part of a strategic plan to establish up to 40 new sites over the next five years.
Alex Glavas of Savills highlighted the expansion as a reflection of increasing demand for quality retail experiences and Rodd & Gunn’s growing global presence. This demand is indicative of a broader trend within the retail sector, particularly for premium menswear offerings outside metropolitan areas.
Rodd & Gunn’s strategic expansion across the UK underscores a significant growth trajectory for the brand in the premium retail sector.
