Monsoon Accessorize has unveiled scholarships for students who have secured a place in the MA Fashion Futures course at London College of Fashion (LCF) or Central Saint Martins (CSM), part of the University of the Arts London (UAL). These scholarships reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting future leaders in sustainable fashion and digital innovation.
Applicants for these scholarships are required to exhibit a strong dedication to sustainability, focusing on regenerative fashion design and zero-waste initiatives. This includes developing solutions for managing pre-consumer waste and addressing quality control issues in the production process.
Previously, Monsoon Accessorize has backed two exemplary students as part of a pilot scheme. Among them is Sarabi Hawke, an LCF MA Fashion Futures student and crochet workshop organiser, and Cassandra Quinn of Central Saint Martins, who is engaged in research on utilising wastewater to cultivate materials for the fashion industry.
Monsoon Accessorize CEO, Nick Stowe, emphasised the significance of these scholarships, noting the company’s successful collaborations with UAL on various sustainability and innovation projects. He expressed anticipation in seeing the progress of the students’ research, highlighting how these scholarships mark a significant investment in the future of sustainable fashion.
