- The Chelmsford location features the brand’s autumn collection and a dedicated denim area, signalling a robust entry into in-person retail.
- Sosandar plans to expand further with new stores in Marlow and Metrocentre, aiming for 50 locations in five years.
- Co-CEO Ali Hall explains the store’s design focuses on integrating their strong online imagery into the physical space.
- A significant customer survey indicated strong potential for increased spending with the opening of physical stores.
On 23 August, Sosandar launched its first ever store on Bond Street, Chelmsford. This opening marks the brand’s strategic expansion into physical retail.
The Chelmsford store showcases Sosandar’s autumn collection in a 1,700 sq ft space and includes a unique denim lounge at the back, highlighting one of its strongest sales categories.
Co-CEO Ali Hall emphasised the design strategy of incorporating Sosandar’s successful online imagery into the store. “We’ve got no mannequins in store at all,” Hall stated, using video screens and visual elements instead, to create a dynamic shopping environment.
Sosandar has outlined an ambitious plan to establish 50 stores over the next five years. Following Chelmsford, locations in Marlow and Metrocentre are already set to open in the coming months.
A survey of 3,000 customers revealed that a striking 97% are likely to spend more if physical stores are available. This finding underscores the importance of Sosandar’s dual approach, integrating both online and offline channels.
Sosandar’s strategic retail expansion reflects a well-calculated move towards enhancing customer engagement and brand presence.
