Craig McGregor, who has held the position of chief commercial officer at Superdry since January 2024, is exiting his role as the company undergoes critical restructuring. McGregor, who initially joined Superdry as global retail director in March 2020, advanced to global commercial director in November 2022 prior to assuming his current role.
His decision to step down is part of a broader executive shift at Superdry, occurring shortly after the departure of the company’s chief financial officer, Shaun Wills, who left the board on 31 March. The company swiftly filled this vacancy by appointing former McColl’s CFO, Giles David, as the interim CFO.
Superdry is presently concentrating on executing a restructuring plan aimed at safeguarding its operations by notably reducing the physical footprint of its retail locations. This strategy comes as an attempt to avoid the dire consequences of entering administration. A crucial sanction hearing for the restructuring plan is scheduled to take place on 17 and 18 June.
While these significant changes unfold, Superdry maintains its leadership team stability by appointing Dafydd Moore as technology director. Moore, who started with the company on 3 June, was previously associated with Halfords, where he managed IT strategy as a group director since August 2022.
The company has refrained from making comments related to individual personnel transitions, citing standard corporate policy. It asserts that no additional alterations to the leadership team are planned other than Moore’s appointment. Superdry remains intensely focused on its proposed restructuring plan, which is deemed essential for its future.
Superdry’s leadership changes and restructuring efforts are critical steps towards securing the company’s future stability.
