Tesco has unveiled its first-ever Finest Steakhouse range, presenting an elevated experience in the supermarket’s meat aisle. With more than 150 large stores across England and Wales preparing for this update, the new range will bring a touch of gourmet dining to home kitchens.
The offerings are comprehensive, featuring both single and sharing steaks, alternative mains, and an array of sides and sauces. Notably, the range includes 23 products entirely new to Tesco’s customers. Highlighted among these are premium cuts perfect for sharing, such as T-bone, bone-on sirloin, and Cote du Boeuf, alongside individual portions like aged rump and thick-cut fillet steaks.
All steaks in the Finest Steakhouse range are sourced from British Aberdeen Angus cattle, renowned for their quality. They are dry-aged for up to 35 days and meticulously hand-trimmed by experienced butchers to ensure superior flavour and texture. This careful preparation underscores Tesco’s commitment to offering high-quality products.
Additionally, the range expands beyond traditional steaks to alternative main courses, including Wagyu burgers and pork belly. Customers can also choose from premium side dishes like triple-cooked chips and truffle mac & cheese. The variety extends to steak sauces and butters, with flavours designed to complement the meats.
Innovative packaging accompanies these products, providing consumers with wine pairing suggestions and chef’s tips on the back of each box. For the first time, Tesco includes meat thermometer cooking guides, aiming to enhance the cooking experience at home.
Matt Kay, Tesco’s Group Brand Director, remarked, “Our customers love finding ways to treat themselves at home, and Tesco Finest showcases our best quality ingredients, pulled together by our expert teams and suppliers to create something truly special. I am excited that we are adding the new Finest Steakhouse to the range, inspired by the gourmet steakhouse experience.”
Tesco’s launch of the Finest Steakhouse range exemplifies its dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
