Trailberg, a British men’s outdoorwear brand, is set to open its first permanent store at Manchester Arndale this summer. The opening is part of the brand’s expansion strategy, aiming to establish a strong physical presence in key UK retail locations.
The new lease covers a 1,300 square foot unit that was formerly occupied by Cruyff, another sportswear brand. Trailberg has committed to a five-year agreement, reflecting their long-term investment in the location.
Manchester Arndale has experienced significant foot traffic, with 46 million visitors last year. This figure highlights the centre’s position as a major shopping destination in the North West, making it an attractive location for retailers.
Recent additions to Manchester Arndale include footwear retailer Dune and fashion brand French Connection, both enhancing the centre’s diverse retail mix. This diversity is a key factor in drawing increased consumer interest and maintaining Manchester Arndale as a dynamic shopping hub.
Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, stresses the importance of having a strong mix of brands to maintain the centre’s appeal. He indicates that discussions are underway to secure leases with several major brands, taking the centre closer to full occupancy.
The opening of Trailberg at Manchester Arndale underscores the shopping centre’s status as a thriving retail environment.
