The former RAF base in Weston-super-Mare is set to undergo a significant transformation. Winterstoke Gate, part of the larger Parklands Village, will be developed by Keepmoat to include 425 homes. Of these, 135 will be carbon neutral, showcasing a commitment to sustainability. The remaining 290 homes will adhere to the Future Homes Standard with eco-friendly materials and smart design to promote sustainable living.
Incorporating eco-friendly elements, these homes will play an important role in reducing the area’s carbon footprint. The use of sustainable materials and innovative designs are intended to set a benchmark for future housing developments in the region.
In addition to housing, the project is expected to offer 20 apprenticeships, fostering local skill development and employment opportunities. This commitment underpins the development’s role in community building and economic growth.
