One standout product has been the £59 Mary Jane, a classic flat shoe with a buckle. Its popularity has soared, with enough pairs sold to line London’s Oxford Street three times over. According to a John Lewis spokesperson, “While trainers remain our top sellers, there is no doubt that our customers are looking to elevate their office fashion. Sales of smart flats have almost doubled, with people seeking stylish yet comfortable footwear options.”
