Kevhoney Scarlett has made history as the first Afro-European and transgender woman from France to win the prestigious Miss Trans Global 2024 title. The 2024 pageant took place at Rhoda, The New Victoria Theatre in Woking, London, where Scarlett was crowned in front of an international audience.
Born in Paris to a mixed heritage, Scarlett spent her early years between Guadeloupe and France. She is a woman of many talents, holding three degrees in Art and Dance, Law, and Marketing. Currently, she works as a marketing consultant, content creator, host, and performer.
But beyond her professional achievements, Scarlett’s life is driven by her passion for advocacy. As a proud transgender woman, she dedicates her time to educating the public about the challenges faced by transgender people. Her advocacy work takes her to public institutions, protests, and social media platforms, where she raises awareness about human rights and dignity, particularly for the transgender community.
Earlier this year, Scarlett was honoured with a major platform when she delivered the keynote opening speech at Paris Pride. Her influence as a speaker has made her a strong voice in the fight for equality, and her presence at this event marked another milestone in her ongoing commitment to activism.
In addition to her advocacy for transgender rights, Scarlett has made a significant impact in France by becoming a public symbol of “La Marianne,” the national emblem of the French Republic. As the first LGBTIQ person to embody this iconic figure, Scarlett used her position to speak at conferences and high-profile events across France. She advocates passionately for the rights and visibility of LGBTIQ people, emphasising the need for greater inclusion and protection.
Her efforts extend beyond activism into humanitarian work. Scarlett is also dedicated to helping homeless individuals, providing food and furniture to those in need. This philanthropic work is another reflection of her broader commitment to making a difference in society, particularly for marginalised communities.
Scarlett’s presence is well-known in the fashion and high-society circles of France, where she leverages her platform to promote diversity and inclusion for transgender individuals. By attending these events, she ensures that the voices of transgender people are heard in spaces where they have often been excluded.
Now, as Miss Trans Global 2024, Scarlett plans to expand her advocacy work on an international scale. She aims to continue using her platform to educate others, amplify the voices of the voiceless, and promote the inclusion of transgender women in various spaces.
Her victory is seen not only as a personal achievement but as a significant moment for representation in both the Afro-European and transgender communities. Scarlett’s win marks a step forward in the global fight for visibility and equality for transgender individuals, and she is committed to continuing her advocacy with the same passion that brought her to the international stage.
